What Does It Mean To "Embrace Black Culture"?

Well...a culture is a set of values, goals, attitudes, conventions, and social practices that characterizes a particular group of people. Black people share more than just skin color. We share upbringings, backgrounds, music, religion, history, experiences, customs, family structures, struggles, triumphs, and so much more. All of our stories intertwine, and yet, the "Black Experience" is made up of many different perspectives. That's part of what makes our culture so rich, and so beautiful...our differences.

So to Embrace Black Culture is to thrive in the relatability, be empowered by the history, want the best for the community, rejoice in the similarities, and appreciate all the differences. Embracing and accepting ourselves, and one another, as we all try to live our best Black lives.
